It’s been well over a year since I updated and I will briefly summarize:
- We lost Nibbles to cancer last summer and I am still not ok. (If ever I was.) Horace needs to stay healthy and, better yet, attain invincibility or I will move to the bottom of a well.
- I finally got to enjoy porch-sitting this year and then some absolute scoundrels stole all of my beautiful vintage wicker furniture in the middle of the night leaving the newer pieces which really shows a level of intent to push my buttons.
- Went to the Netherlands for the longest vacation I’ve ever been able to take, to see my Uncle. I ate so many stroopwafels and saw so many spiders. Just a really good time hanging out and checking out museums (Katten Kabinet! Hieronymus Bosch!)
- I rewrote Velvet Season and started posting it and Birthday Girls over on Tapas. I’ve mirrored them on this site for the non-Tapas crowd, and will restart the newsletter soon-ish.
- Halloween is coming and I am doing my best to psych myself up for actually putting in some effort this year. Last year was a real bust, what with the depression and all. But I just might be able to rally this time. 🤞🏻
